“UNISPAN WINS SCAFFOLD TENDER FOR ROBINA HOSPITAL”

Work has begun in earnest on the Robina Hospital Expansion consisting of new South and East wings; extension of the existing “A” Block, two additional operating theatres, upgrades to the Medical imaging, Pharmacy, Pathology and catering services.

Several major challenges faced by the Unispan team on site will include maintaining: - Existing hospital facilities during the expansion, safe access for hospital patients, staff and the general public is in line with recent amendments to the scaffolding code, the ongoing co-ordination between the contractor, Hospital and Unispan when scheduling material deliveries to various work fronts on a live site.

All facets of scaffolding will be required on this project ranging from conventional builds of edge protection, perimeter containment to Birdcage scaffolds and Canter lever applications. The total tonnage supplied to the site will be in the vicinity of a thousand tonne when fully erected and should compliment the overall building phase of construction until completion

Unispan is delighted to be working on another Baulderstone project having recently been awarded the Gatton Correctional Precinct earlier this year, we look forward to continuing our association with Baulderstone and the Queensland Government on future projects.
